Rescue organizations are usually all-volunteer organizations and survive on donations and adoption fees. The adoption fees may seem high to some people, but they usually do not cover the significant costs involved, which include traveling to pick up a dog/cat in need, providing often expensive medical care, vaccinations, having them spayed or neutered, giving them any training necessary, and helping to socialize and feed them. The adoption fee helps them to save an animal's life.

All animals up for adoption have been sterilized, vaccinated, wormed, treated for fleas and combo tested
